Hello everyone.
Well, my public humiliation and disgrace continues.
I could write a much longer detailed post describing the various challenges I face right now, each one a large obstacle and trial to overcome.
But I’m going to focus on describing my current most pressing situation, which if I can’t find a solution my life probably will collapse like a house of cards.
It may seem like a minor problem to many of you but in my situation it is extremely critical.
The cable from the gear shift to the transmission in my car broke. It’s an older car and the part may take a while to locate.
I had the vehicle towed last week to the home of a guy I know (a Mechanic) who will fix it for very little money.
I expected to get it back in a few days but now he tells me it may be a couple of weeks before it is done.
At the Time of this writing. I have enough money to last until maybe the end of the week. After that I don't know what I'm going to do.
I've looked for work locally. Something within walking distance. But it seems like it's not easy for a 71-year-old man to get a job. I was even turned down by Sheetz.
And to add more to my misery I have an infected tooth that my dentist will not prescribe me an antibiotic because I haven't been there in a couple years.
It's too far away for me to walk and a bus won't get me there so I just have to suffer with it for now.
I could go on and on. I've got plenty of things that I could tell you that each one is bad. But I won't go into any more details to protect the privacy of myself and others.
Believe me, there are good reasons for my situation beyond my own stupidity. There are circumstances that are out of my control and legitimate reasons for me having to face the situation by myself.
None of this is easy to publicly admit.
Whatever promise I may have shown as a youth has long faded into oblivion.
I know everyone's got problems. Many folks have problems worse than mine. I know it's almost Christmas. And everyone's got financial challenges to meet for the holiday.
As for myself, my family and I haven't been able to exchange gifts for over a decade.
Which is fine. It's become strictly a religious holiday for us now.
But as I stand with my hand out like a Charles Dickens character. I ask for a donation of any amount.
Even a dollar would be appreciated. Here is a link to the GoFundMe that I've put up again. And although I promised myself last time, this was never going to happen again. I am once again swallowing my pride asking for help.

I have contacted different charities and agencies seeking help.
I've called the 211 helpline.
Catholic Charities, The salvation army, The United Way, the St. Vincent de Paul society, various Christian churches that have an outreach for low income, government agencies, etc etc.
No one is able to help me.
This is why I am asking for help from the public.
And I've engaged in a lot of prayer.
